ABOUT OJL SOCCER ACADEMY

Who We Are

OJL Soccer Academy mission is to help athletes have fun pursuing soccer excellence: professional training, encouragement, resource sharing, and feedback. Whether you just want to enjoy the beautiful game, have fun, or have dreams of being an elite soccer player, we will help you build and recognize that dream! We are managed and operated by Pursuit FC who is committed to the holistic development of the athlete and helping them pursue excellence both on and off the soccer pitch.

What We Do

We focus heavily on technical skills and making you proficient in all areas of the game. Once the foundation of these skills are developed we begin to sharpen them by creating game situations and defensive pressure so that we might best simulate game condition. We also introduce and develop the tactical skills that should accompany your game so that you are equipped with the skill of making game decisions in the moment as they arise. Physical fitness is another focus area for us so that we can make sure you are ready to be the best you can be! In short, if you have a soccer dream...we will help you pursue it and show you the work that you need to do.

Why We Do What We Do

We do what we do because of you! There is no greater reason for any adult coach or trainer to be in youth soccer than to invest in you and show you all that you can achieve with hard work and determination. We expect you to believe in yourself because we believe in you! At some point in all of our lives we had adults who invested in us and helped us to become who we are and we believe in paying it forward.

We also know a lot about soccer and have a wealth of knowledge and experience that we want to share with you so that your dreams become a reality. It is highly recommended that you visit with our Academy Director and hear the exciting things on the horizon for our academy and all the ways that we can support you.

Where We Train

We own our facility which includes a full lighted field, a Pursuit FC technique field, and additional Pursuit FC lighted fields that are under construction. This is great because it means we decide when we have to close our fields instead of an outside group making the decisions for us.

The academy is located at: 255 Fairway Drive, Angleton, 77515. If you have any questions about anything please email the Academy Director at: joel@pursuitfc.com. Make sure you select Angleton and not Alvin, which has happened to some of our members.

When We Train

NEW - We have a set schedule for the entire year that goes into effect on Monday, June 2, 2025. We will no longer post daily schedules on the "WhatsApp" app. Players can only train in their age group time slots. Please do not come to different age groups because we will not be able to let you train outside of your assigned group. You will also notice an "Advanced" age group. To attend this time slot it must be pre-approved by our Academy Director Joel McKinnon. Again, this is done in a case by case basis.
